“Is there another life? Shall I awake and find all this a dream? There must be, we cannot be created for this sort of suffering.” ~ John Keats
If you believe in the soul, you believe in an afterlife. As one is content and the other its vessel; one belief requires the other.
Some folks believe in reincarnations; that life and death is an unending cycle.
Some folks believe in the simple one way flight: you’re dead and khalas, you are stuck with your deeds and destination (reward or reprimand).
Others believe in both: that everyday is a rebirth, and deeds pile up in creating unmistakable destinies.
I like theories on afterlife and soul. I have my favorites, but they all work the same way: giving deadlines for the things I’m doing.
The deadline for today’s writing session is imsak.
